Department of Never Mind

Attention Wingnuts, Moonbats, and Bloggers in Tow!  All those campaign stories you’ve latched on to, sworn by, and perpetuated by repeating?  The little outrageous items on which you’ve built your case for the unbelievable incompetence of the candidate you don’t like?  The stupid unbelievable shit I, among many, have told you was complete and utter bullshit?

Read this.

Of course, you think it’s more of the same.

  1. Wow! Great article….I have now disavowed everything I used to believe in……..uuhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I wonder if that means I’m no longer a wingnut?

  2. Why should we believe that story? It’s in the ultra-liberal radical commie NY Times! Arrgh.

  3. It’s interesting to see the details, but really, you need to be nothing short of stupid to swallow all the silly crap the blogs (and MSM) dish out. What this actually show is how stupid most Americans are when it comes to politics, and how they’ll believe anything that backs up their own foolish prejudices.

I’m above all this, of course.

  4. Squatty,
funny how all of us wingnuts kept saying Ayers was a lot more than just “a guy in my neigborhood” as the Annointed One claimed and guess what:
Shazam,Shazam! As Gomer would have said, Ayers himself has confirmed a few days ago that he was a long time friend of Obama and Michelle and not just a guy in his neighborhood. I guess that means some of the wingnuts were right after all, weren’t they?
And that makes the Annointed One a big time dissembler doesn’t it?

  5. Auggie: I don’t know what you’re referring to, but when I googled, I found this. Which doesn’t look especially damning.

Even so, what follows? The 60s were filled with folks like this who sprouted all sorts of idiotic idealistic crap, and eventually outgrew it. By the time Obama wandered onto the scene it was all over. Whatever Ayers, Abby Hoffman, Angela Davis, and Tom Hayden had to say in 1967 — 40 years ago — it has little relevance to where we, and Obama, are today.

Except maybe “Power to the People.” Which always sounded like Ben Franklin democracy to me. You see a problem with that?

  6. Squatty,
that power to the peole crap never works. I have seen it with my own two eyes. Do you know what happens?
It turns out that the folks scream, ing all that crap once they take power, wnat more control over you than the previous ones had. They are strong on rethoric but very short on the delivery of the goods. And the final result is you lose all your personal liberties while they tell you that now you have more. Trust me,as they say in New York, Been there done that and I have the personal story to back it up.
Leftists are good at telling what you are missing and how opressed you are, until they take over and then you are really screwed because there is no going back from their system if you do not care for it.

  7. There’s nothing wrong with Power to the People, but Augustine is right–there’s a lot wrong with the usual set of assholes who holler it loudest and most often.

Kind of like jesus freaks. Jesus is okay, but the thugs and fools who invoke his name for every idiot thing they believe ruin it for everybody.
