Eats, Shoots, and Advertises

From yesterday’s Miami Hurled:

“Am I the only one who noticed that the billboard in the aerial photo of the Wendy’s where the shootings occurred last week is advertising this weekend’s gun show?” — S.J. Underwood, Miami

  1. FerfeLaBat says:

That’s taking the promotional thing a wee tad too far IMHO. Effective though, in a reverse logic, cognitive dissonance kinda way.

  2. Living Will says:

What’s the big deal? I wouldn’t be shocked to find out that Wendy’s advertised at the weekend gun show, either. Guns and burgers go together like frogs and warts, y’know?

  3. Guns don’t kill people. People kill people. If we outlaw people we won’t have to outlaw guns.

  4. Private Parts says:

Manuel A. Tallechea: If we outlaw people, then all people will be outlaws. Then ALL the guns would be in the hands of outlaws ONLY outlaws will have guns.

Guns don’t kill people, bullets do.

But seriously, all the laws in the world won’t stop the killing until people don’t need laws any more to stop them.

  5. While we wait for the Kingdom of God to be established on earth, anarchy is the answer. When killing is no longer punished by the law, then the possession of guns will become a moot question. No, let me correct myself, a necessity.

  6. Neil, a Chrstian soul says:

I disagree with the previous comment. As we await the Lord, we must anticipate the establishment of His Kingdom by obeying His laws, and only His laws. That rules out anarchy. Repent, sir, or you’ll find yourself in hell. God bless you.
