As Our Troops Die In Afghanistan…….

Last week….. Human Rights Watch discovered that a revised version of the Shiite Personal Status Law had been quietly put into effect at the end of July — meaning that Shiite men in Afghanistan now have the legal right to starve their wives if their sexual demands are not met and that Shiite women must obtain permission from their husbands to even leave their houses, “except in extreme circumstances.”

According to Human Rights Watch, the new law also “grants guardianship of children exclusively to their fathers and grandfathers” and “effectively allows a rapist to avoid prosecution by paying ‘blood money’ to a girl who was injured when he raped her.” — NY Times

Seems reasonable to me.  Basically, we’re only talking about females, right?  In your wildest fantasies, do you imagine that if females were the ones with the power, it would be any different for their male inferiors?

I call a church elder I know for some help with this one.

“It’s not exactly the way we’d do it, but after all, somebody has to take charge,” explained the Rev. Ben Dover Bohica, of the Southern Baptist Worldwide Moral Crusade (located right here in Florida, by gum!).   “And the way we snake-handling conservative Christian fundamentalist primates read the Word as Written, a Woman takes her moral guidance and direction from a Man.  It’s not all that different, come to basics.”

0763188255.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_Starvation?  Buying off rapists?

“I said it ain’t precisely the way we’d do it, didn’t I?  I’m just sayin’ there’s got to be Order, and that Order needs to reflect the God you believe in and the Words He says.”

Are we talking Absolute Relativism here, or Relative Absolutism?

“Damn you academic libertarianism, boy, with all due respect we’re talking about holy people choosing for themselves their spiritual compass.  And as an American like yourself, be happy that your president and our government has selected to honor this decision.”

Which is evident in his support of death panels, euthanasia, and Nazi-like abortion of disabled retarded Gypsies, Jews, and Negroes.  Not to mention seniors and others with dementia (which is borderline ironic).  I read that on your website.  And plenty of others.

“Amen and pray for better days  The strong and the faithful will survive.”

Say — have you ever heard of Mark Steyn?  You remind me of his lickspittle acolytes.

“Sorry, brother.  I don’t read, you know, and if I did, it wouldn’t be Hebrews.”

    Men are such pigs.

If I were still alive, I’d join that religion in a heartbeat. Those dietary restrictions make a lot of more sense than just keeping kosher or fasting for one day a year.

It would be different if I was in charge. I’d have the males living in pens and pulling farm equipment. Only the younger, better specimens would be allowed to clean up and copulate, and then only by female initiative.

I’m not inhumane, though. I’d keep their troughs filled with beer and meat by-products. Although they might be better behaved if they were kept near starving, they’d be of less value.

There’s no winning in Afghanistan. The only reason we’re there at all is because that’s where bin Laden was. If Bush had brought him back “dead or alive” as he vowed to do, we’d be out of that hell hole and they could do whatever they want without our interference. Thanks again, George.

Camiel Toe: I like how you think. . .
Dawgbowl: Somehow I knew it would end up being Bush’s fault … 🙂

    Holy Shi’ite!

Those Afghans are mighty fine lookin’ dawgs. Can they fight?

  8. Dawgbowl says:

Ms Calabaza: Well, who else? Reports are that we had the rat cornered and let him slip into Pakistan. Okay, it’s war, and anything can happen. But then he takes his eye off the ball by invading Iraq for no good reason, our attention and resources are diverted, and here we are in 2009 still mired in that mess. As well as Iraq.

I can tell you this: if we’re not out of there in 2 years, that will be Obama’s fault. IMHO.

It looks like nobody from the Steyn swarm took the bait. Too bad…it would have been fun.
