Happy first day of autumn. The foliage of all the trees in my yard turned color overnight, probably as a reaction to the 15 degree drop in temperature. I spent the morning putting away all my pastel shorts and tees, and hauled out the earth-toned sweaters and long sleeve casual wear, as well as the leather coat in case we get another early cold snap. I checked the supply of Jack Daniels and Mescal, too: no tequila again until May, at the earliest.
Not!
Are you following this story? For your entertainment this weekend, keep an eye on the skies. Duck Diamonds, professional gambler and regular at the Liquor and Rubber Balls Sports Emporium and Detox Center, has a pool working to pick the closest location where the debris lands. I have ten dollars on 100 square miles in rural Argentina. Coincidentally, that’s about what the real estate is worth, too.
Heh. Just now saw the humor of a guy named “Duck” involved in this.
Happy weekend!
I get it. What a perfect story for the first day of (wait for it) Fall.
Thery think most of it landed in the Pacific, relatively close to Australia. Maybe some aborigines will find it and start a new religion. Wasn’t there a movie like that?
