By now everybody has heard about the doctored Planned Parenthood videos targeting the agency’s tissue donation program, which have inspired ‘Pubs all over the fruited plains to loudly condemn any or all of the following plagues upon the nation:
- Killing unborn babies
- Moral degeneration exhibited and encouraged by liberals
- The sale of human body parts
- Government funding generally; specifically for Planned Parenthood
- Muslim/socialist/America-hating Barrack Hussein Obama (but not because he’s Black besides he’s the only one who ever brings it up)
- Titty bars
Ha! That last one just to boost the numbers.
Here in the nation’s dicktip, our forward-thinking Governor Dickwithears has swung into action:
Amid a growing controversy over the alleged sale of fetal tissue, Gov. Rick Scott on Wednesday called for an investigation of Florida’s 16 Planned Parenthood offices that perform abortions.
The investigation comes two weeks after the release of an undercover video in which a Planned Parenthood official in California discusses the use of fetal organs for medical research. The anti-abortion group that took the video says it is proof Planned Parenthood sells human tissue.
“It is against the law for any organization to sell body parts,” he said. “If a Planned Parenthood office is not following the law, we will move quickly to take legal and regulatory action against them.” — Miami Hurled
Attaboy, Gov. Sure, this will cost the taxpayers money, but if the integrity of our laws and moral priorities aren’t worth a few dollars, what is? It’s not so much the outcome, it’s the principle. Same reasoning that wasted all the time and resource over non-existent voter registration fraud and drug-testing welfare recipients. Not politically motivated in the slightest, just the Governor being the governor of all the people (likely to vote for him when he runs for Senate).
One minor details, though —
Laura Goodhue, executive director of the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, called the governor’s action “politically motivated” and “pointed out that none of Florida’s Planned Parenthood offices has a tissue donation program.
Oops. Well, hell, let’s do it anyway. If former president Monkey Boy could cite 911 as a reason to invade an entire country that had nothing to do with it, then here in Florida we can easily justify a little ol’ investigation of the way an agency implements a policy it doesn’t have.
It’s not like we have any other pressing issues to worry about, now that “climate change” isn’t eve allowed to be mentioned out loud.
